St. Petersburg Woman Hurt in Motorcycle Crash
The 44-year-old woman was the passenger on a Harley-Davidson that crashed on U.S. 301. Investigators say that a Mustang may have cut in front of the motorcycle just before the crash.
A 44-year-old St. Petersburg woman is hospitalized in critical condition today, after the Harley-Davidson she was riding on crashed Saturday night.
Claudia Jean Poulin was riding on the back of a 2005 Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by 45-year-old Henry Dauberman of Riverview, at about 8:15 p.m. Saturday, on U.S. 301, just south of Boyette Road.
The Florida Highway Patrol reports that a white Mustang may have cut in front of the motorcycle, while making an "improper lane change," or the Mustang "violated the motorcycle's right of way."
The motorcycle overturned, and the Mustang drove off.
Both Poulin and Dauberman were suffered serious injuries and were taken to Tampa General Hospital. Neither was wearing a helmet, according to the accident report.
